Review: Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub

Hey Everyone!
So today's review is on the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub. I got this one to two weeks ago at Walmart, but I'm sure you can find it at any drugstore that sells Clean & Clear. I just checked Walmart for the price online, which it's $4.97, and it's sold out! Sorry about that, but I can't control how good a product is! XD Anyways, as you might be able to see in the picture, it's oil-free, so there's one plus. It also says, "With bursting beads| wakes you up| gently exfoliates skin| with vitamin C & ginseng. First of all, when I use this in the morning, I feel like it does give me a little boost. Moreover, it is a very gentle exfoliating product. You can use it every single day if you wish. (I use it about everyday, skipping 1-3 days a week-just due to laziness... :D) What I do is wash my face with a washcloth, then take some and put it on my cheeks, forehead, and then as I am scrubbing it in, work it into my nose and chin as well. Then I wash it all off. Something I find really cool is that the beads do burst! They start out orange, and when they burst, they turn white. I find this makes my face feel much softer. This helps get rid of dead skin and regenerate the skin cells. I have noticed a difference and I would really recommend this product considering it's only $4.97. I hope you enjoyed and let me know if you've tried this product out or if you want to!

Get it at Walmart

Spring/Summer Lips!

Hey Girls!
Today I have a half day at school and thought of what better way to do a post! Also, since I didn't have a post in a week, I thought I would take some extra time to make this one!
As you know, Summer is coming along quite quickly. Therefore I wanted to create a post on lip combos you could wear in the Summer, as well as Spring.

(Sorry I moved and the picture isn't as clear as I wanted it to be.)
Here, we have a simple pink lip. You can pretty much never go wrong with pink lips for Summer and Spring. I took my Revlon Lip Butter in 045 'Cotton Candy' and applied some to my lips. You want to put some enough on so that if you step a few steps away, your lips appear pink, but not an overwhelmingly amount. Next I took MAC's creemsheen in 'Petite Indulgence' (Barbie Medium Pink) and applied that to the bottom lip. Then I took MAC's Creemsheen in 'Fashion Scoop' (Light Baby Pink) and applied that to the top. When you rub your lips together, you get this beautiful combo of completely PINK! It's not too light or too dark.

(The color is a lot more brighter in person :)!)
This is for simple bright pink with coral undertones lip. First I took my other Revlon Lip Butter (I only have these two!) in 090 'Sweet Tart' and applied some to my lips. Then I took Philosophy's Vanilla Birthday Cake (shimmery gold, but comes off clearish) and lightly applied the gloss just to give that glossy effect. If you love bright lips, I highly recommend the Revlon Lip Butter. I would wear it everyday, but it's too bright for my age, personally. :)

(The camera didn't pink up on all the coral-ness -wow I am making up a lot of words today!- but it's a little more coral in real life.)
This is for the light Summer coral look. (If there's one... haha). I took my MAC Creemsheen Lipstick in 'Shy Girl' (nude coral) and applied that to my lips. Then I took Stila's Lip Glaze in 'Guava' (Peachy Coral) and applied that over!

Wanna get these looks?

Revlon Lip Butters: Any drugstores that have Revlon!
    (CVS-'Cotton Candy')
    (CVS-'Sweet Tart')
Stila Lip Glaze 'Guava'
Philosopy Lip Shines 'Vanilla Birthday Cake'
MAC Creemsheen Lipstick 'Shy Girl' You might have to select the color for the MAC products
MAC Creemsheen Lipglass 'Fashion Scoop'
MAC Creemsheen Lipglass 'Right Image' (they don't have Petite Indulgence anymore!)
Hope you liked this post! (BTW I am not affliated with any of these links or companies!)

Quick Hair Tip: Ponytails

Hey Girls!

So sorry for not having a post in a little bit! I've been very busy with school! Anyways, I'm going to try to get a good post up tomorrow. I always forget to take pictures and send them to myself, so I can then download them onto the computer and then upload them onto here.

Today I am going to share another hair tip that I have found to work for those bad hair days. Now for those who were their hair up often, this might not work as well for you. I barely ever wear my hair up in a ponytail, and when I do (I mean a full pulled back ponytail, not 'I gathered hair and tied it back' kind of look.) I do it at nighttime. When I wake up, I pull my hair out, and my hair has soft and more 'together' waves (if that makes sense. What I mean is that they're roughly the same size, and things like that) and my hair is barely frizzy. I naturally have very wavy hair, and this just evens out my hair. I use this trick if my hair is either really frizzy, or if it's just all over the place. If you do wear you're hair back often, try switching your part, even a little to the side. This will also ease the frizz. Let me know if you try this out!

Makeup Starter Kit

Hey Girls!
So I thought I would do a makeup starter kit, just telling you what I think are the basics. This was more directed to younger girls that don't wear foundation and products like that.  :)

1. Eyeshadow: I recommend and eyeshadow palette, but make sure you have maybe a simple lid color, crease color, and highlight to begin.

2. Mascara: For mascara, it really depends on what you're looking for. If you want natural looking lashes you can get a not-so-good mascara because then it will be harder to build up and make your eyelashes touch your eyebrows! For a lengthening mascara, I recommend Fresh Supernova!

3. Lip Product: Like the mascara, this is preference. You could have lipstick (Snob from MAC is a good lipstick because it's a light neutral pink, but I can't say for sure because I personally haven't tried it.) or lip gloss. I also recommend the Revlon Lip Butters!

If you want something for skin, I recommend:

4. Concealer: There's not much to say about this! It just might give you more confidence. I love the MAC Mineralize Concealer. It has medium coverage and moisturizes nicely!

Thanks! Let me know what else you'd like to see! --Kait--

(April Favorites) Top 5 Products of the Month and More!

Hey Girls!
So April was a pretty good month! I had Spring Break, and my birthday! Today I am sharing with you my top 5 things for the month of April. I'm not going to include anything that I got for my birthday though, because I've been using them for about two weeks. Some of the things, if not most, are from the drugstore (CVS), but I will include links that I can in case you want to check something out! (: (BTW, let me know if you want to see what I got from Sephora in the comments). These will not be in any specific order.

1) EOS Lip Balm (Mine is in Summer Fruit, but I have smelled other ones which I do like better, like Sweet Mint.) This is a very nice moisturizing drugstore lip balm. The scents smell really good too!

2) Bath and Body Work's "Coconut Lime Breeze" Body Lotion. This smell has a little bit of a coconut smell, as well as a lime scent combined with many tropical fruits in the "background" to represent an ocean breeze. It smells great, and moisturizes well too.

3) Revlon Lip Butter in Cotton Candy. These lip butters are very moisturizing as well as pigmented very well. Cotton Candy is a light pink shade with a shine to it, so you really don't need a gloss with it if you don't want one. You can build up the color really easily as well.

4) Herbal Essences' (did I spell that right.. ;) ..?) Shampoos and Conditioners. I have tried the Touchbly Smooth (pink bottle), the None of Your Frizziness (orange bottle), Totally Twisted (purple bottle) and Hello Hydration (blue bottle, and current one.) I really liked them all. I feel, for me, that they work well.

5) Fresh Soy Face Cleanser. This removes make-up, cleanses your skin, but it's also very good and nourishing to your skin.  It has soy proteins and antioxidants so when your cleaning off your make-up, you know you're giving your skin a treat.

I was going to include my CVS Pharmacy Anti Acne Spot Treatment, or my Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment, but since I did separate reviews on them, I'm not going to include them.

My favorite TV show this month has to be Survivor. I've been addicted!!! The scary thing is is (lol is is) how much it reminds me of THG!! (BTW happy birthday Katniss... again!) My favorite book this month was Insurgent by Veronica Roth, following Divergent in the trilogy! You have to read these books!! Alright, I better get going before I start talking about them.

Happy Birthday Katniss!!

Happy Birthday Katniss!!
In case you didn't know, May 8th is Katniss' birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY KATNISS! HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY! Even though you're not technically born yet... well, I don't know what else to say! :)

Bloom Into Spring: Colors That Will Never Go Out of Style

Hey Girls!
Today is going to be a short post. Anyways, there are a few colors that seem like they never go out of style for the season of Spring. First of all there are neons. Personally, neons are more of a Summer "color". But they are still trendy for Spring. Another type, I guess you could call it, is pastels. I think pastels scream Spring! For colors, mint green, coral, and of course, PINK! One of the things I like about these styles is that you can wear them into the Summer. I don't know about pastels, but corals, pinks, neons, etc. Happy Spring!
BTW, Happy Friday!
Also, I finished Insurgent by Veronica Roth, if you want a book review, comment down below!
