THG: Movie Review
Hey Everyone!
Yesterday, I went and saw The Hunger Games. Personally, this was the best movie ever!!!!! I would recomend reading the book first. They added some new scenes in, but also took out some. SPOILER! I'm going to list some things below! :)
Parts They Added In:
~President Snow talking to Seneca Crane (2 scenes)
~Haymitch getting sponsers for Katniss
~Haymitch watching kids play with swords
~Seneca Crane's death (not completely shown)
~Katniss getting the Mockingjay pin from Greasy Sae
~A few Gale shots during the Games
~Katniss playing with her room controls making the view into the Capitol a forest
~Father's death during hallucinations
And More!
Parts They Didn't Include:
~Madge
~Mr. Mellark giving Katniss cookies
~Avoxes (there was a reference though)
~Special Effects in Katniss' room (ex. the shower)
~Goat Story in the cave
~Feast in the cave
~Mutts not having tribute features
~Peeta's leg starting to bleed during Cato's death
~Katniss screaming for Peeta after getting out of the Games (and her getting operated on in general)
~Peeta's fake leg (you have to admit, that would be pretty hard to do)
And a few other small scenes
Even though there's some parts they didn't include, I have to give them credit. I thought it was great though! The acting was really good! I also loved how they included humor... of Effie! "THAT'S MAHOGANY!"

Today is the Day!

I AM SO EXCITED! I am seeing The Hunger Games tomorrow :( (but at least I'm seeing it) with my friends!!!! I will talk to you after I see it to tell you what I think!

Katniss Goes to Hogwarts
Hey Everyone!
So sorry about having another Hunger Games post, but there is only 2 days left, and I can not wait!!
I was exploring today :) and found an amazing-ly fun website/game. If you've read/seen the Harry Potter series, and liked them, and also read THG trilogy, you will love this game! I am on Katniss' 3rd year at Hogwarts, so I am unsure how many years you go through. But so far, it's been so fun! Pretty much, Katniss gets a letter to Hogwarts and she accepts it. The rest of the game is trying to help Harry, Ron, Hermione, and others throughout the years. I absolutely love this game! One of my favortie parts was when Ginny said that rumors have been going around that Katniss liked Fred. But then it says something like this, "He's not a baker or a painter. He adds too much sugar in his tea, and doesn't double lace his shoe laces. (Sorry for the spelling.) Remind you of someone?
Well, what are you waiting for? Play the Game Here! May the wands be ever in your favor!

THG: What is Added
Hey Everyone!
So, a few days ago, I did a post called, THG: What's Added? Today, I can answer some of that. Although I haven't seen the movie yet, there are many releases like this one. Click Here to Watch it! This proves that they have added some clips like I expected. Also, in a recent interview, (with I think Gary Ross) he said that they had to add things in so you can understand Katniss' perspective more since you can't understand what some of Katniss' thoughts are. In my blog that I linked above, I had a picture which was from this scene, and now I know what they are talking about. Ironically, I asked, "What are they talking about?" .... And now we know.

Update on THG!
Hey Everyone!
So, this should be a pretty quick post, and I was going to do a beauty blog next, but there are so many new THG things out! First of all, a week or so ago, we got to see a sneak peek of Katniss in the training center. We also got to see a sneak peek of Katniss and Cinna, as well as new trailers. It's so exciting! I think they are all great, and only 10 days!!

THG: Katniss' Wishes
Hey Everyone!
So, I don't know if you realized, but Katniss has 2 big wishes throughout the trilogy. Even before we met Katniss, she has the wish to survive; to live. This is obvious in the first book, too. Her goal is to survive the Games; even if it means killing Peeta (which she agrees to in the beginning, but as their relationship builds, it's harder to commit to). Of course she wants Prim to be alive, Gale, and many others, you have to agree that she also wants to live. After she wins the Games, she still wants to live (as you can tell in the first half of Catching Fire.) Why else is she trying to convince everyone she loves Peeta? Well, you might say because she wants to keep her family alive, definately yes. However, there's still a part of her that wants to live.
The second wish is for her to not survive. After President Snow annouces the Quarter Quell, and then after her tantrum, she goes to Haymitch to tell him that we have to keep Peeta alive. Of course she knows that, in other words, she doesn't want to get out of the Quarter Quell alive. As the trilogy continues into Mockingjay, Katniss doesn't want to be where she is. I don't mean she doesn't want to be in District 13, but just not her (if that makes any sense haha). At the end of Mockingjay, she evens tries to commit suicide.
So, what does Katniss want? To live, or not to live? I would say she would want to live. She ends up having a family and enjoying her life as far as I can tell. Hense, her life gets better, but during the actual trilogy you can see a big arch of her wants, big or small.

Review: Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment
Hey Girls!
So as promised, today is a beauty post! I will be reviewing Fresh's Sugar Rose Lip Treatment. First of all, the lip balm has SPF 15. I have been mostly using this for my chapped lips, not for SPF, so unfortunately
I am unable to tell you if it works for the SPF part. However, I can tell you how well it works for the purpose I use it for. This lip balm is the most moisturizing lip balm I have ever used. It lasts for longer than I am used to, and creates a smooth, and (an almost) creamy feeling on your lips. It also smells like lemons. Not a strong lemon, but a light lemon scent which I love. I received this for Christmas in the Sugar Rose Party Favor set and have not stopped using it.
I went out to CVS to get an EOS just so this lip balm could last longer and so I have something else to use 3-4 times a day. It is currently $22.50 at Sephora. It is very pricey for a lip balm, personally. But is it really worth it? As I said I went and got an EOS lip balm. The Sugar Rose one is more moisturizing and last a little longer. But the EOS isn't bad either. I definately want to get this again, when I feel like I want to splurge. For now, I am just going to stick to the EOS which suits my needs. I really recommend this product if you're willing to pay for it. I would personally price for at least $15, $16, or even $17. This lip balm offers a light, sheer tint that's really nice too. THG: What's Added?
Hey Again!
Today, I will be talking about the upcoming movie, The Hunger Games. (Next post will probably be beauty related.) As the days get nearer, the more excited I become. There are so many topics I want to talk about the trilogy, but I want to talk about the movie first. From all the clips and pictures I have seen, the movie does seem to hold truth to the book. However, a pictue got me to wonder what else they included in the film and that wasn't in the book. This photo gives some proof to that:

I don't remember a part in the book where Seneca Crane and President Snow are talking. I like how Snow has his handkerchief though. (You learn in later that he uses it to dab the blood away.) I am excited to see what they come up with this part though. I mean, what are they talking about? There could be many options. I guess I will have to wait to find out!!
