NOTD: nails inc. 'The Boltons'

Hey girls!
nails inc. - Nail PolishI feel like my posting has not been going well, I have been very busy and I'm super sorry about that. But, I wanted to share the current nail polish I'm wearing that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE. Here's the link, and as of writing this (which will be a few minutes before I post it) it's sold out! Hey, at least you know I'm telling the truth, haha. This is a rich red with lighter red sparkles. It came across a little orange in the picture to your left, but it can in some lighting. I was at the orthodontics an hour ago and it came across berry. You can see it a little better in the other picture from Sephora (linked above). I really love nails inc. and highly recommend this nail polish, especially for the holidays! I think I am just going to keep painting my nails this color for the entire December.

TAG: What's Your Nail Style?

Hey Everyone!
So I saw Becca from Looks and Books with Becca do this tag, and I really recommend you do it and check out her blog! (If you had to do one, definitely look at her blog- it's awesome!) Anyways, I tag all of you, and if you do answer this questions, leave the link below so I can check it out!

1.What's your favorite nail polish company?
I really like nails inc., OPI, Essie, and Sally Hansen.

2. Glitter or no glitter?
Usually no glitter, but I do like a shine to the nail polish.

3. OPI, China Glaze, or Essie?
I've never tried China Glaze nail polish (although I really want to! Especially THG ones!) but I do like OPI and Essie. OPI's brushes sometimes have too much nail polish, but personally I like their color collection more.

4. When do you start to take off your nail polish?
I normally leave it on for a week because I usually paint my nails on the weekends, take it off Friday/Saturday, then paint them on Sat./Sunday. Sometimes they're super chipped, and other times they're not bad.

5. What's your favorite color on you nails?
I like mid-tone colors. Dark colors tend to wash me out, (but I do love them!) and very light colors I don't like as much, so probably some mid-tone pink or purple or something!

6. Dark or Light?
Honestly, it depends on my mood. And my mood usually leans toward the color that connects with the season. So right now, I really like deeper shades!

7. What are you wearing on your nails at the moment?
I have a NOTD here which actually only covers four nails! On my thumb on my left hand, I did a marble effect with Miss Bossy Pants (Sephora by OPI), E'nuf is E'nuf (Essie), and It's All About Me (Sephora by OPI). On my thumb on my right hand I used Mellow Yellow (Sally Hansen), It's Totally Karma (Sephora by OPI), and Whitehall (nails inc.). On my four other fingers, I also have It's Totally Karma.

8. Matte nails- in or out?
I do like matte nails, I'm wearing some right now (It's Totally Karma), but I do prefer non-matte a little more, whether they're glitters, some sheen, etc.

9. French Manicures?
   Yes! I love them!

10. Favorite fall color?
I really like Miss Bossy Pants which you can see in the last link I posted, and also Shue vs. Sue which is a navy with blue and purple iridescent shimmers (Sephora by OPI-both from the Glee Collection.)

Hope you all enjoyed,
Kait

NOTD: Sephora by OPI 'Miss Bossy Pants' (Glee Collection)

Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been MIA, I had no power! Anyway, today I am wearing Miss Bossy Pants' by Sephora by OPI from the Glee collection!
As you can see, it's a berry pink color with hot pink, purple, and blue shimmer! I really liken this nail polish-it's not super thick were it's all chunky on your nails, and not to thin where there's no color pay off or it's not showing up. So overall, I really recommend it!

NOTD: My Favorite Nail Polish

Hey Girls!
Currently, I am wearing one of my all time favorite nail polish. It's Nail's Inc. Magnetic Nail Polish in Whitehall. It is $16 at Sephora which is quite a lot to spend on a nail polish. However, not only are the effects cool, and work really well, the nail polish itself is great. This nail polish dries so fast, which I really like. By the time I start on my thumb and end at my pinky, my thumb is already dry. The brush is also not too big, where it picks up too much nail polish (I find that sometimes happens with OPI) but not too small where it doesn't pick up enough and you have to apply the nail polish five different times to cover your entire nail. The nail polish is also very opaque. In the picture where you can see the nail polish on my fingers, you can conclude that it doesn't look perfect. Yes I hit my ring finger when I was drying them, so that's why it's messed up hehe. Normally the shower cleans up my cuticles which I am doing tonight so they will look prettier later! Anyways, I am going to try out the Nails Inc. nail polish itself to see if it has the same drying results and opaque-ness. Click here to get the nail polish at Sephora.    Make sure to check out my Questions & Answers Post to leave some questions! (BTW this is not sponsered or any of that stuff.) :)

My THG Nails

Hey Everyone!
Today is a THG post and a beauty post!! This is how I painted my nails for the movie! (I have a limited amount of nail polish, so I did the best I could!) I used Sephora by OPI for all nails and in the Glee set!

Here is a close up. On the pinkie finger I wanted to represent the Capitol.  I did a hot purple-pink raspberry color called "Miss Bossy Pants" with a layer of multi-colored (mostly sliver) sparkles called "Celibacy Club". On my ring finger I used a coral with pink sparkles called "Express Yourself to Yourself". This color reminded me of the dress Katniss wore during her interview. On my thumb, I used a navy with blue sparkles, just for a background, called "Sue vs. Shue". I wrote (well, my friend wrote-using her nail art pen that I don't know where she got from-sorry!) KE + PM. On my other thumb, my friend wrote 12 for District 12!
On my middle finger, I painted it a matte light blue called "Slushied" and then used "Sue vs. Shue" for the other half and then dotted "Celibacy Club". I did this to represent the days and nights spent in the arena. My pointer finger, I used "Slushied" again. But this time I took "Gleek Out", which is an olive-lime sparkly green color, and made a cloud shape for trees!

I hope you guys enjoyed! :) -Kait
