My Skincare Products and Use

Hey Everyone!
Today's blog post is on the three skincare products I love to use. My acne is not terrible, so this is a good routine for me and maintaining your skin. A little disclaimer is that I have not tried out so many products to have something to compare it to. I may say, "This is the best ___," but that's just the best for me. Long story short, some of these products you may love, while others-not so much. Anyways, let's get started!

*Links will take you to the product, all prices are USD.
1. Remove All Makeup
First I use my makeup remover, which technically isn't a skincare product, however it is the first product I use in my regimen. I use the Clinque Take the Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes, and Lips. I got mine for $18 at Sephora. I really like this and it does take off makeup really well. It's not oil free, but you're only supposed to use on your eye area and lips. If you wanted to but this, but are worried it's going to make you oily, you can uses a wash cloth after and cleanse your face. :) I only wear mascara and eyeshadow, and sometimes concealer, so this works fine for me (for the concealer I will use a little of this; I will also use water, or my cleanser-it depends.) I use a cotton ball and gently rub it on my eyelids.

2. Exfoliate
Second I use my exfoliant. I use the Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub which I got at Walmart for $4.47. I have a review here if you want to learn more. I take my finger and put a little bigger than a pea onto both my cheeks and forehead and take a smaller amount for my nose and chin.

3. Cleanse!
For cleansing my skin, I use my Fresh Soy Face Cleanser which I also got at Sephora. I absolutely love this stuff. It makes your skin really soft and it also takes off makeup well too. I highly recommend this! I also use a cotton ball and gently apply this all over my face. I take a wash cloth and lightly pat at my face.

4. Spot Treat
I use my CVS Pharmacy Targeted Acne Spot Treatment, which you can get at CVS. I have  review here. I do the same thing with the Clean and Clear product for application, but not as much. I do apply this all over my face because it helps maintain and prevent acne, but of course there's always that stubborn pimple!

That's all I do! I do all of this steps after my shower every other day, except cleansing because I don't have a lot of my Soy Face Cleanser. Thanks for reading! -Kait

Review: Maybeline Baby Lips

Hey Everyone!
Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm SPF 20 Pink Punch 25Today's review is on the Maybeline Baby Lips. Mine is in the color Pink Punch. Originally when I got this, I wanted a very light pink lip balm that just tints your lips. No no no. This is a lot more pigmented than I expected. When people said it was a little tint, I thought your lips would look natural with a hint of pink, but this makes them a pink. Just pink. It's not as pigmented as Revlon Lip Butters, and I find it harder to build up the color on this than the Revlon LB. But that does not mean this color is not build able. The balm itself is mosturizing too. I find it has a little bit more of a wet texture than an EOS, but it depends on what you like. This is sold at CVS for $3.99, and I would definately recommend you check this out for only four dollars! I think I mentioned everything, but if not, just leave a questions below! :) Kait

Pictture from the CVS link above.
I'm not affilated or being sposered or whatever by Maybeline. Honest Thoughts/Opinions. :)

HAUL: Getting Ready For Vacation (Updated)

Hey Girls!
So I wanted to do a post today because I haven't had one up in four days, and normally I like to do them every 2-3 days. I had a post in mind, but I didn't have the picture ready, so I just decided to do this post, and that post will also be easier to do on my phone when I am traveling. As you could tell from the title, I am doing a haul. The ironic thing about this haul is I haven't purchased everything yet. I'm either going to CVS today or tomorrow, but I know exactly what I am going to get. Three out of five of these products I already bought, but I will be purchasing the last two soon. Yes, I am going on vacation for a week in a couple of days (I'm leaving on Sunday), so I won't be able to post as much as I do. Anyways, let's get into the haul.

Yesterday I went to the bookstore to pick up some books that I can read while I am at the beach. I'm currently reading one, but the other one I am saving for vacation.
1) Crescendo | Becca Fitzpatrick (Sequel to Hush, Hush-I have a book review on that.)

(I was going to also purchase Silence, but they did not have it.)

2) Once | Anna Carey (Sequel to Eve)
(I am going to bring this book on vacation with me.)

3) Aussie Anti-Frizz Cream
      (I have a review coming.)

I haven't purchased these two products yet:

4) CVS Pharmacy Targeted Acne Spot Treatment
(I have a review here. This will be my 4th bottle believe it or not!)

5) Maybeline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
If they don't have this color, I might get another EOS. I still have a little dome left on my EOS but I wanted a pink-tinted lip balm.

Hey guys!
So I did go to the drugstore yesterday and I did get the Baby Lips and my acne spot treatment, but I did pick up two more things. One of them I don't need for vacation since I'm getting my nails done before I go, and the other I do. Starting with the object I do need:

6) Maxwell Earbuds
(Got these at Walmart)

7) Sally Hansen Xtreme Nail Polish in 27 Mellow Yellow
(I never had a yellow nail polish, and I thought this was such a pretty color!)

Hope you guys enjoyed! :)

Review: Maybeline's Mega Plush Mascara

Hey Girls!
I recently went to CVS and while I was there, I picked up Maybeline's new mascara, Mega Plush Volum' Express. I got it in blackest black. First of all, it's formula is a gel which I think is pretty interesting. It doesn't feel brittle on your lashes at all. I like the way it makes my lashes look though. The mascara makes my lashes look natural with one coat, just blacker, a little more thick, and a little more length which I really like. However, you can apply as many coats as you want and the volume and length of your lashes will increase. Because of the flex-i-ness of the wand, you can get from the bottom of your lashes to the top with no problem. I don't know how much it was when I bought it, but right now on CVS it's on sale for $5.62, with an original price of $7.49 (USD). Overall, I really recommend this mascara! :) (BTW, sorry for the picture, it isn't that great.)

My Acne Saver is a Drugstore Product?!

Hey Girls!
You don't need to go high-end for skin. You don't need to go high-end for anything! Of course, the products can work better, or feel nicer. However, my favorite (so far) skin care product is the CVS Pharmacy Targeted Acne Spot Treatment. My skin (since I'm young) is oily around my nose, other than that, my skin is not exactly dry, but not oily. My skin isn't terribly acne-prone either. I find that when I don't use this product I break out because I don't have the preventage. Anyways, I have been using this product for almost a year, went through two bottles, and my skin isn't all that bad. Of course it isn't perfect, I have a few small bumps, but most of the time it's fine. This is a cream and my cousin tried it and she said that it doesn't dry her out that much. Personally, I don't think it dries me out at all (maybe a little if anything). I use this after every shower (every other day) when my skin is drier and my pores are open. Since my skin is dry then, when I put this on it almost mosturizes it. This prevents and gets rid of current acne. I don't know how it will work on your skin, but for me it's the anti-acne product I only use. Sometimes I will occasionally use my Fresh Soy Face Cleanser (which is amazing, but I have a deluxe size, so I only use it on times when I need it). If your looking for a drugstore product to try out, and just want to give something a try, I would recommend this!
(Sorry for the lighting, I took this at 8:30PM-my blog times are off, it says I post things at 12:00 (noon) when I post them at 3:00)
